（路透洛杉磯6日電）雷根總統圖書館（Ronald Reagan Presidential Library）表示，美國前第1夫人南西（Nancy Reagan），今天因病辭世，享壽94歲。
南西是雷根堅貞虔敬的妻子，也是雷根信靠的知己心腹。出身好萊塢女星的南西，在好萊塢生涯、入主白宮8年、雷根遇刺受傷，以及罹患阿茲海默症期間，一直不遺餘力的保護雷根，堪稱是雷根的守護者。
雷根與原配前妻－好萊塢老牌女星兼奧斯卡影后珍惠曼（Jane Wyman）的養子麥可?雷根（MichaelReagan）透過推特說，他哀慟繼母過世，「她再次與鍾愛的男子團聚」。
在雷根1981到1989年兩任總統期間，南西成為美國歷史上最有影響力的第1夫人。
雷根在與阿茲海默症長期博戰後，於2004年過世，在世時，雷根都暱稱南西為「媽咪」，南西則暱稱雷根為「朗尼」。
1940、1950年代闖蕩好萊塢時，南西是藝名為南西戴維斯（Nancy Davis）的女星，她在1952年與星運日隆的雷根結婚。1967到1975年，雷根演而優從政，擔任加州州長，南西成為州長夫人，1980年雷根大勝卡特（Jimmy Carter）當選總統，南西跟著搬進白宮，成為第1夫人。
南西在第1夫人任內最為人稱道的事情是推動向毒品「說不」的反毒運動，以幫助孩童和青少年遠離毒品；而在雷根罹患阿茲海默症後，南西搖身變成阿茲海默病患的鬥士與捍衛者，四處鼓吹並籌措慈善資金，以研發阿茲海默症療癒法。
南西看似小鳥依人，講話也軟聲軟調，但她的強烈意志、高調品味以及對先生的影響力，讓她成為雷根2任總統任內的爭議性人物。
南西既是雷根的妻子，也是雷根在政治上的夥伴兼策士、顧問，這讓她成為美國歷來最具權勢與影響力的第1夫人，差堪比擬者只有小羅斯福總統（FranklinRoosevelt）夫人、威爾遜總統（Woodrow Wilson）夫人，以及柯林頓總統（Bill Clinton）夫人希拉蕊等。中央社（翻譯）
